Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Did a couple easy miles, then wanted to mix it up with some varying paces. I was going to do 10xmile, but in the interest of this race I'm doing on Sunday, I did 8xmile instead. I did 2:00 jog recovery (about 7:00 pace), working towards race pace starting around 5:50. I wanted to get faster as I went along, which I did for the most part. My splits were 5:59, 5:54, 5:43, 5:47, 5:47, 5:25, 5:35, 5:31. Not my most impressive workout to date, but I think it was worth it. Good mileage at least.

Some points of interest:
1) Running fast at night totally sucks. These times aren't impressing me at all.
2) I did this run on a long loop that is on a road that goes around the outskirts of Pease Airforce Base. It is incredibly secluded, and the night was beautiful. With the 3/4 moon, I could see incredibly deep through the woods around me. It was an eerie feeling. The trees all had snow stuck to them. It looked just like the land North of the Wall.
3) I hope I'm not overtraining.
