Weather: hot, lots of pollen in the air
Comments:
3M warm-up/1M cool-down and raced a 1500 in 4:14.00. Splits were: ~67, ~67, ~68, ~52. Felt terrrible, had no speed in my legs and couldn't increase my turnover to save my life. I did give up on the last 400-500m after realizing I had nothing left in my legs.
Took a nice nap in my car and had about a 4 hour break between the 1500 and 5K.
2M warm-up/1M cool down and raced a 5K in 15:59.6. Splits were 5:03, 5:08, 5:13, 36. I was pretty spent and it showed with the 5:13 last mile, but I did have enough to run a 72 last lap to get under 16 min. Didn't think I was going to make it. Felt better but there's something wrong in the left hamstring. Need to ice and rest it and hopefully it goes away soon.
