Comments:
nice out, did threshold while i was at the UMD invite around some nearby bike paths. 2x10 min, 1x5 min with two minutes rest, then 6x30s at rep pace. it was a good call not racing cause again, i felt a sharp tightness in my lower calves while warming up. managed around 5:15 pace for the first 10 minutes, 5:18-5:20 for the next 10, and 5:14 for the last 5 min. fitness coming back, tightness not leaving yet, unfortunate that i couldn't race because the 5k had some big players right around 15 flat, and the 3k was quick as well.
