I was excited to finally get to do a speed workout on the track, unfortunately the workout itself was the most inane I've ever run. It was 8x135 (Not sure on the distance but 135m seems like a reasonable guess. Thinking about it now it was probably 140, but I'm too lazy to change all of the entries) with jogging rests to get back to the starting point. WHY are we running a workout clearly geared toward sharpening at the beginning of the season??? The next day we have a track workout, if our reps are anything less than 300m I'm just gonna ask if I can do my own workout. I really want to break 2 and I'm not gonna let Mr. Paul's one-size-fits-all workouts get in the way of that happening, I know what I need at this point and that is speed endurance.
Also I did the warmup on my own on the track and did the cooldown with Jonah and Eric on the track. My ankle was feeling weird (I think I tweaked it a bit doing squat thrusts yesterday), so I figured better safe than sorry.
