Horse Course always rekindles my love for running, in really magnificent ways. This run was really good - my left sole has been sore, but I put the pain behind me and just ran. I ran it simple, just aiming to get an average pace under 7, and the simplicity really cleared my mind. This is what my long runs should be: easy, well-handled stress relievers that prove to myself that I can do what I have to do when my mind is clear. Having a focused, clear mind has to be a habit, not a goal.
