Patience is the name of the game

2x5x200. they got tough about halfway thru. short rest and all. by the last one i took a bit of an extra break. all were close to 30. had a wierd pain in my right lower leg. couldnt really put a spot on the pain, it wasnt really localized. but it generally subsided during the workout.



today's lift kinda sucked. the pre-workout just simply didn't hit me at all even though it was a full scoop, stacked up with Hemavol. might have felt a bit of a niacin flush but thats about it. Hemavol gave a pretty good pump though. Focus and concentration was lacking.
aimed for 3x8 w/ 75lbs. hit 1 set of 8, then a set of 6 or 7, and then maybe 4 or 5. dropped to 70lbs, didnt hit a full set. dropped to 55lbs and still didnt even hit a full set. didnt quite feel the mind muscle connection either with my chest, felt mostly my triceps struggling.
not really sure what happened. maybe i progressed too quickly since i only spent 2 weeks on 70lbs. but whatever the case ill aim for 3x8 w/ 75lbs again. and then 4x8, possibly 5x8 to get a good foundation for the future heavier weights.
Progressed on the flys, 4x8 w/ 30lbs.
Progression observed on curls too, hit 4x8 w/ 65lbs using the thick olympic barbell. rest paused a little bit on the last set or so. then a dropset to 45lbs, and a full set of 45lbs. go for 4x8-10 next week.
workout started feeling better from here, but its still never the same if i dont get a good progression on the main compound lift.
Also progressed on the chest press machine actually. 55lbs, pretty much hit all of 4x8, minus a rep or 2 on the last set. felt the MMC a bit better this week on this one. go 4x10 next week.
pushups superset with cable flys. 4 sets. hit at least 10 pushups in each set and 10 flys at 20lbs.
hammer curls progressed too, maybe its just cuz i didnt do reverse curls first. hit 4x10 w/ 25lbs. try 3x10 w/ 27.5lbs next week. also didnt take as much rest this week for the first two sets.





patience is key. cant set unrealistic expectations. progression will slow and jsut gotta accept that and work with it. Be patient, be patient, be patient.
