Comments:
Finally had a performance I'm decently happy about right now. Before the race we warmed up 3 miles, with about 1-2 minutes of tempo during. My legs felt pretty fresh so I knew I was ready to go for racing. The race went out pretty hard the first 200, but then we slowed up coming into the 400 which was 62/3. The next lap I could tell we were slowing up (Tyler was rabbitting us to try to go out in 2:04/5), and we hit the 800 in 2:07, a little behind schedule. I felt really smooth at this point, and we hit 1200 in 3:11. I felt like I probably should've tried to kick earlier, because I was tucked in and feeling really comfortable with 300 to go, but never moved even though I had the energy. By the time I hit the last straightaway I was running fast, but so was everyone so I didn't have room to make up any ground. Finished the race in 3:57, not even tired at all. This gives me hope for what I can do in a few weeks at Patriots. Based off of this I think I can go around 3:53 in a well paced race. Cooled down about 4 miles after then turnt up
