SUCK IT KHIERE

April 30, 2013 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
First time that I ever beat Khiere in a race. I like to think that i snapped her like a little twig. We ran the first leg of the 4x8 together and it was my plan to stay with her, if not in front of her. Unfortunately that was her plan too and we ended up taking it out in a 30. it felt like we were racing a 400 (we went through in 65) but I stuck it out longer and was on the inside so i took the lead :) after the first lap i was just trying not to die too hard and just keep my legs moving (even though it felt like they were going to fall off). After i finished I couldnt walk and I got the worst headache of my entire life which sucked a lot, but i guess that means i raced my butt off. My split ended up being a 2:24, so if the race had been taken out at a more reasonable pace, then I could have PR'd which is a good sign :) I then ran the 400 which sucked a little bit after running the 800 but thats alright. It felt like I took it out like i normally do, but my legs were still tired. However, I somehow found a little gas left in the tank at about 150 to go and actually kicked it in , which was a little strange. The race came down to the final lean at the end, but I'm not sure who actually won or what my time was. Then in the 4x4 the same thing that happened in the 400 happened and I ended up handing off tied for first place with a split of 63. Overall a pretty good meet for me, even though we lost. Im excited to see whaat I'll be able to do with the 800 by the end of the season.
