utterly obliterated quads/glutes today. decided to split hamstrings on a separate day from now on.
Took 2 scoops of NO Xplode. Good clean energy.
Squats: 4x10 with 165lbs, 1x10 with 175lbs. that 175 was tough but manageable. the last 2 reps was a struggle. Never noticed how much squats actually hit the lower back as well. i should try to explode up but driving the hips more. that way itll feel less like i am falling fowards.
Then did a set of 135lbs for 12. 135 used to be impossible but i just manhandled it today. its a great feeling to be able to do something you clearly were not capable of just a few weeks ago.
but jesus christ pushing so hard i was seeing stars with blacked out vision after several sets.
Seated calf raises: 5x25 with 55lbs. Actually worked it well and calf almost cramped on one of the sets.
Hack squats. 3x10 with just 15 each side. wasnt all that hard once you get the momentum of the reps going. then 2x10 with 25 each side. then a set of no weight.
Leg press. Had to wait a few minutes for this dude to finish his sets. put up 100lbs on each side. did 3x10, then did like 2x12 i think if i remember correctly. oh freakin boy did i feel like i was gonna collapse just walking back and forth from the water fountain!! legs were all quivering and shit it was awesome lol.
This was also where my hearing started to become dampened due to straining so hard and lack of blood/oxygen or something. I had trouble hearing my own voice for a few minutes.
Quad extensions, did 30lbs each side. 5x15, pretty much burned it out hard on each set. it was real nice.
Im writing this approx 24hours later and i can honestly say my legs (quads and glutes) have never been this sore before. Im just limping walking around after sitting for awhile. its real nice, srs.
