Took the SATs this morning, that was fun. I was seeded 4th in the 1500, but they put evens in the box so I couldn't really base my race off of Katie or Melinda. I got out, but apparently too quickly because I led the first lap. It honestly didn't feel like I was going that fast, but then Melinda passed me on the back stretch of the second lap and I tried to just sty on her shoulder. We went through the 400 in 77. I tried staying with Melinda, and I got a teensy bit boxed in by Katie and the vestal girl, but I was staying with them for the next lap. I went through in 2:36. I was trying to push this next lap, but when I felt like I could make a move we were on a turn and Katie was on my outside so it wasn't great timing. Once we hit the straightaway everybody spread out and it was hard to stay on somebody's shoulder. I got to 200 to go at 4:20 and I thought all I had to do was close in a 39. I tried to kick and it felt like I was kicking, but I ended up running a 5:01. It's a 2 second PR so I'm happy about that, but I really would have liked to break 5. Then I ran the 400. Got the baton in second, handed off in first, and ran another 63. Our relay got second so that was good, but I would really like to improve my 400 time after running it 50 million times this season
