Comments:
Showed up to the race late - very stressful start. Had to sprint up to the starting line and started with much slower group about 1.5 min after start. Shins and ankles were very tight the first 4-5 miles and spent a lot of energy weaving in and out the first mile. Not many hills after the first few miles. After a few miles got into the groove and breathing felt very controlled until the last hill. Wish I knew I was so close to breaking 1:18! 3 minute PR.
