legs 2 & 3 of Calistoga to SC Relay

Leg 2: start at 2:15 am. 7M hard run from the GG bridge to the beach. The worst wind I have ever been in. at least 30mph winds with gusts of 40+. It was mostly downhill for the first half and I passed a lot of people (30 total). second half was straight, along the beach with the wind in my face. ran 41:34 which is only 5:55 pace. Not happy with the time but with the wind I guess it's ok. Felt much better than yesterday.
Leg 3: Start at 10:30am, 6.2M medium run. All downhill. A total of 1,354 feet of elevation drop over 10K. Ran way faster than I thought I was with a 30:00. They missed my exact split but we estimated it and it seems about right, give or take 10 seconds. Felt good, but way are my legs beat up. Not from the fast run so much as the downhill. I'm gonna be really sore for sure. Overall, it was a great run with almost no wind, mild mid to high 60's. Pasted 15 people to bring my total for the weekend to 51. No one passed me. Overall a good weekend and the running got better each time.
