Exercise Type: Run
Weather: Fog / high humidity
Comments:
I was originally going to call this run "the Shire" because I was expecting it to be very pretty. Then I decided to call it "Roadkill" instead (you can figure out why). And as I was on the second-to-last mile, there were construction signs saying "Construction, 1500 ft. ahead" and "Shoulder closed, 500 ft." When I got there, there was no construction site.
I'm calling it "Construction" with a small nod to the ironic signage, but mostly because this run is what I need to build up strength. The first half is very hilly: first, one massive hill, and then one after another after another. By the end of the second mile, I was already beat. Afterwards, the downhill is so gradual that it's all basically flat.
It's green and scenic and Shire-ish, but colorful surroundings doesn't matter much on a run. The construction is what actually happens, and what actually matters.
