This is the third year I've run this race and I'm happy to say I've run it quicker every year. This is a tough little track - the first mile is all downhill which I took advantage of turning in a 5:55 mile. From there the rest of the course is pretty much a steady incline back to the start/finish line. I managed to hold it steady (6:21 and 6:29) but didn't have anything left for a kick at the end. This isn't a PR for me but I'm happy with my time. I haven't been running that many miles lately and was shooting for something under 20:00 so in that sense, goal achieved. Finished 2nd in my age group and 9th overall.
