But that didn't quite ever kick in. I don't think I felt shit from it. Didn't quite even notice a beta-alanine tingle.
Focus was way off. so was energy.
Bent over rows. loaded 170lbs on the bar and it came off feeling much tougher than I expected. hit 4x10 though. and i didnt think MMC was that great but im feeling sore where it targets so i guess i did something right, right? Im probably reaching the threshold of neural/motor learning now so its muscular adaptations from now on which means improvements will be slower. i need to respect that weight.
Dips. 65lb dumbbell strapped up to my waist. half expected to need more weight since i used the Lifetime dip machine at 230lbs. but nope, it doesnt directly translate. so 4x10 with 65lbs, hit it. but didnt feel great. just shaky, the form seemed off and movement didnt feel smooth. neural networks/maps are kind of off. 2x12 with 45lbs then 2x15 with 25lbs and then 22.5 reps of bodyweight. i guess i hit everything i was supposed to but it jsut didnt feel great. focus was off.
now comes lat pulldowns, which put the nails on the fuckin coffin for me today. 160lbs felt so much tougher than 160 at lifetime. struggled for 3x8 and barely hit 8 at 150 for the 4th set. i had to mentally muster up the energy and focus in between every set. had to tell myself to just man the fuck up and finish the set. it was pretty bad.
during the rests i kept feeling sorry for myself for having a bad workout but repeatedly told myself "aaron shut the fuck up, focus and do the motherfucking set".
i actually took a trip to the bathroom just to pause and gather myself together so that i can get back out there
skullcrushers. 50lbs felt so much heavier than it shoulda. so did like 2x10ish with 40lbs.
i also cut short the rest of the lift. one armed rows i did like 50lbs for just a single set. it was kinda sad. i also really needed to get going cuz i was gonna be late for work.
It just sucks that last week i had the greatest back workout ever and today was like the shittiest. i think the lack of sleep is catching up to me maybe thats why.
