Comments:
did a 20 minute easy warm up about 10 minute pace. did 6 striders then plyos, didn't stretch a lot. I wasn't nervous.at the line I was warm and felt good. I wanted to warm up like I have been consistently for intervals so I didn't have a race mentality. start at the bottom of the civic center, run in through the Zamboni doors and up the stairs. up the civic center hill bearing right towards city hall. had an alley of tires then up and down the entire parking garage. down glen did 5 pushups continue down glen to Crandall park into the first entrance, over the bridges down the lemony fresh slip and slide and back up the hill to get attacked by people in the woods. field of over under, army crawl nonsense. out onto horicon to "circle of pain" blasted by hoses, had to scale some walls on clayton and more push ups. over to playground, had to climb a fence to get in and out and shoot a basketball. back to glen, more wall climbing, pushups, and up and down this huge rope wall before the finish. I won for the women by 26 seconds. when I was doing I remember thinking about macklemores "the ceiling cant hold us" song tonight is the night part. also, I would think that I could hurt more, I thought about what Adam said about making each 100m better than the last. I've also been doing some weird yoga stuff and they talk about "breathing out the bad/pain/hurt" so I tried to concentrate on thinking that every out breath was expelling pain rather than concentrating on my breathing as being a sign of fatigue. I think this is the best I have felt competing in a while and mentally I felt calm.
