lifted with Drew for old times sake. good shit to partner up for leg day.
no preworkout today. also didn't warm up on the treadmill.
5x5 squat progressing to 215lbs. holy motherfucker. felt significantly harder than when i was doing 210 or 205 or 200. from the first rep i almost got stuck. i had doubts of whether or not i could hit all 5 sets. it was also tough to keep my core tight, so i was using my lower back a good amount today. put on a belt for sets 4 and 5 and that def helped. but managed all of 5x5 and felt some significant damage done to the quads and glutes that i decided to forgo hack squats. also my rotator cuffs were killing me.
stiff leg deads. only did 2x8 with 155 today. my CNS still felt shot from yesterday and my grip strength is like in the shitter. so fucking exhausted.
2x20 with 90lbs seated calves. since the soleus typically bothered me recently on my runs ill take it easy on that.
and 2x20 with 3plates + 25lbs on leg press.
thinking about taking tomorow and friday off since im feeling slightly under recovered. let the CNS recuperate, come back strong on monday. and ive already hit every muscle group with high intensity, so to cut the volume in half would be like a deload week. Also, my adrenal glands can take a break!
