woke up from my nap and stimmed up with some Hyphy mud. rage drove down to the parking lot and marched into veale. i didnt have very much time to lift, but no way in hell was i gonna skip leg day. so ill just squat.
warmed up on the squat, and was contemplating 225lbs, 2 plates. but remember i leave my ego at the door so i stayed with the planned progression and loaded up 220lbs. 
first set. very tough, but i found i had a better time with keeping my torso upright, maybe cuz i was more conscious abuot it. don't remember too much abuot the first set.
Second set. first rep easy, then here comes the hurt. i turned beet red and pushed as hard as i could. i had doubts i'd finish all 5 sets but just focus on the now.
set 3. now im getting scared. first reps always easy, and then i start to get stuck. i think the bar was like about an inch off the center on my traps so it felt slightly misbalanced. but fuck that, no excuses. punched out all 5 and thought i was dead.
Set 4. put on the belt for dat lower back. extra intra-abdominal pressure. boom. boom. boom. boom. boom. its like a sigh of relief every set that i finish. my glutes hurt, my lower inner thighs are taxed. my vision is blurry. one set to go.
Set 5. i think to myself: "5 reps, focus, be confident, u got this"
first rep was little trouble. second rep hurt like hell. immediately went down for rep 3. and came back up and i dont even remember my own name. but the voice in the back of my head yelled "FOCUS MOTHERFUCKER FOCUS". sink back down and come up for rep 4. i dont even have legs anymore. i paused for at least 5 seconds, and defying all the weak, negative thoughts, i go down for the 5th rep. engaging the glutes, tighten the core, and PUSH. 110% effort, rep completed. i let out my breath at the end, like a volcanic eruption. reracked the bar, and gave a long deep look into my own eyes in the mirror, for I had just re-emerged from hell.
oh, and then i did a set of 10 with 135
