first of all on the run we went to the pristinely air conditioned rec center by forest hills. we used the water fountain. and we just casually walked in and drank water. thats when i thought to myself, wow, any gangster from the street can come in and drink water. and also do other bad things in the rec center. im going to apply to be a bouncer at the rec center.
last night i was going next door. and i got to the stairs of the back porch and i heard rustling sounds in the plants. for whatever reason i had a flashlight. and i lit it and saw some bright eyeballs looking back at me. they came out of the woods and they were raccoons. and there were 6 of them! they were looking for food and they found slices of bread. i had almonds cuz that was part of meal #8 for me and i started tossing it at them. they ate it and they came closer and closer to me. i had all the 6 raccoons coming at me slowly. they were much less afraid of people than feral cats but they were extremely cautious. if i made a move they'd scurry away. but they kept coming back for the almonds i was tossing at them. they make noises like pig oinks. but its less loud and more muffled. one time there were 2 of them oinking at each other and they started fighting over the almond that i threw on the ground. and eventually most of them wandered off towards the garage. but one of them stayed behind. he was a bit more confident than the rest of the raccoons. his name is Luke. i tried to feed him off my hand. he came up and sniffed my hand. then he used his paw and tapped my finger and then backed off really quickly. then he came up again and licked my finger. and tried to take the almond from my hand with his teeth but missed so he ended up very gently nipping my right ring finger. then he ran off. then i decided that it was a bad idea to feed raccoons cuz they'll probably come back for more everyday. so to make sure they dont come back, i shot them. just 3 of them. they ran off after they got shot. steel BB's at 700 feet per second aint very forgiving on soft flesh. so i dont think theyll be coming back anymore. i was like the opposite of a sour patch kids. cuz first i was sweet. then i was sour.
