heavy hypertrophy

August 2, 2013 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Weights

Comments:
plan was to back down to 205, and do sets of 8 with it for hypertrophy. well. i warmed up and i dont think i warmed up properly cuz jfrey wanted helped with deadlifting so i had to teach him that for awhile and when i was done with that i jumped right into 205, after doing only 3 reps with 135. soooo it felt heavy as fuck. like almost like 225. i guess its only a 10% difference. after 3 sets of 8 i was killed. down to 185. did one set and i was dying. absolutely devastated. but i manned up and quit being a lil bish, and did another set of 10. now down to 135. drudged through 2 sets of 12. that squat rack is a fucking box of pain right there. 2x12 with 145

on the stiff leg deads. right to 2x12 with 90lbs on the ham curls. and then immediately changed the weight to 70 for the next set. seated calves. 5x20 with 105. then to straight leg calves, 4 plates for 4x20.

i was ridiculously exhausted from this workout. monster rehab didnt feel like shit today. i also had less sleep. but i made it through the workout. blood sweat and tears

at target today in the changing rooms i took a look at my back muscles cuz they have extremely ideal lighting conditions and good mirror set ups. holy shit. holy shit. cut like a fucking diamond. upper back rhomboid/trap region was more developed than i expected. lats are definitely developed, the place where they round into the obliques are clearly visible. my spinal erectors are also much bigger than i thought, thanks to deadlifting. my v-taper was incredible. on the back double bicep pose my delts look very well balanced, with good rear delt development. that was excellent positive reinforcement for my hardwork. love it.
