Diet update #2

I'm coming to the end of the first cycle of low carbs. In like 4 days, I lost about 5lbs, majority of which was water. first night after carb free I lost like 3lbs, then 2 more the following 2 nights. i can tell by the look that I look very dry and a bit flat. more vascular though. and the strength levels are def affected. even on pull day i felt it diminish a little bit. theoretically i should be in pretty high fat burning mode. I've also noticed that fluctuations in body weight are much less while on a low carb/ketogenic diet. this makes sense cuz since im not taking in carbs, im not storing glycogen, which wont cause build up of intra-muscular water.

Today after the team meeting i got home and felt funny. i was kind of intermittent fasting just the way my schedule today turned out. but basically i had just a protein shake from the previous night all the way til like 7pm. I was feeling a bit hypoglycemic but also i began to feel the ketogenic brain fog. where things become a little hazy, ur slightly dizzy/disoriented and you feel a bit just strange. i could also see how people get more irritable when low on carbs. then i ate a meal that had approx 140ish grams of carbs and felt better. ah, carbs <3 can't live with them, can't live without them. I'll re-evaluate after camp to see if i want to continue to cycle carbs the next week. i may not, cuz its working too well lol. and i have no need to get 100% shredded. but we'll see, i could continue it as a science experiment on my body. its real interesting.
