Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
I felt a little tired from driving to Panorama,(with Hannah S.)and it was pretty hot still. But by 5:30, race time- I felt pretty good.
I wasn't overly nervous/anxious/excited, just went out to stay with the front of LU girls.
To my surprise, I held on the whole race, and felt especially strong on the hills. (The 10 sec. counting method really worked!)At the finish, I was right in the front pack, and felt like I ran hard, but still felt like I had more, -felt like a good tempo run.
Felt some pain especially on the steep down hills, but felt okay. The 2x 2k repeats were harder for me, I was more stiff and tired. But I still ran pretty well.
I came into this race not thinking much of it. I had thought that this would probably determine my redshirt issue, but to my surprise things turned out much better. I felt so blessed to have run well, and having my parents there was extra awesome. I love and miss them a lot! God really shocked me, and I am so thankful. :)
