push day with Emil today. he wanted me to monitor him through a workout to make sure that what he's doing has adequate intensity and is effective.
we started off w/ the bench. i wanted 5x8 with 160. but it felt heavy from the start, heavier than i woulda liked. but i just pushed. and first did 4x8. last rep on that was a tough lockout. similar to last time. then the 5th set i managed 4 clean reps and got pinned on the 5th. emil helped spot. still progressed in terms of volume though.

OHP. felt stronger on this today. maybe cuz of bar thickness. hit just about 3x8 w/ 95. then lowered it to 85 for a set, then 65. good stuff. delt burn.

to protect the rotator cuff, i used a lighter weight for laterals. did like 3x15 with 25lbs slow and controlled and isolated form. then did like a set of 10-12ish. then a NOS set. lateral head feels sore right now.

dips. 3x8 maybe 10? w/ big chain. then a set of bodyweight for like 16.

skullcrushers. 3x10 with 50 did the trick, then a set w/ 40.
