Comments:
split tempo, which i don't actually like as much as regular tempos. i like getting into a rhythm and the breaks kind of ruin that. have to readjust at the beginning of each section. we had a pretty big group, but it worked well. we were like 16:21 for the first 3, which was a little fast, then on the 2 miles i fell off a bit for a while but regrouped and finished about 5 seconds behind them for 11:01, which was right on pace anyway. then 5:29 for the last mile, and it felt good. very natural and easy. but my calves are still bothering me and i abandoned trying to get compression socks through coach and bought my own this weekend. hopefully they get here soon. i got two different kinds in hope they both or at least one feels good. i have been stretching my calves well, but my legs in general have been beat. and the ice bath is missing in action so that makes my legs sad. i didn't do the 200 things because i know it wouldn't have helped.
