This time it was a different hill workout than the usual. I did repeats of a long interval that started from the tree, went up the first hill, and then continued along the road for awhile. I ran it alone because I had a late-night physics lab, and it went pretty well.
I definitely underestimated how hard the workout would be when I heard that there would be only 4 repeats. The initial hill is a struggle in itself, and following that up with a minute of steady incline made it a killer endurance workout. Just for an idea of how steep and steady the incline was, look at how fast the pace of my recoveries was (which went back down the hill) despite the fact that I was dead after each interval.
