Comments:
Obviously after this race there is a lot to take from it. First off as a team we performed very well which is very exciting. We definitely have a chance to place top three at macs. Overall, I may have went out a bit too hard, but I feel like if I am going to run a good time at regionals, I'm going to have to come through close to 5:05. Although for regionals a good strategy would be to find 15th place and stay there until mile 4 and then move up if I can. For macs, this looks to be a very interesting race that is going to play out between about 5-8 people. For me, all I need to do is to stay mentally tough and hang on. Ive determined that at this point running is 90% mental. Also I'm going to eat a very miniscule amount of food before these next races so that my diagaphram and stomach do not cramp up. Considering the way my legs felt during the week, I am very surprised with how they felt during the race. My legs only slowed me down for about 5 seconds, the rest was in my stomach. Although I feel as though this race did not go so well for me, there are many positives to be drawn from this race especially from a team view.
