Threshold

This semi new direction for my training has some different things than I've been doing. One of those is a threshold once a week. Did it today. Worked down to the pace over the first mile, then locked in a bit under 6 min pace. Held that for 3 miles then stopped to take a heart rate (164) before jogging a mile to finish. Felt good. I didn't really feel taxed post workout and I felt smooth during. My breathing felt very relaxed. However I don't think my body is used to this since I really haven't done anything resembling a workout since track last year. I feel things will improve as weeks move forward.
