since veale closed yesterday i had to mishmash the exercises again to fit everything in. essentially today was another push day for the whole body, starting off with squats. felt pretty good i guess. plan was to work up to a heavy triple. last week did 275x3, and felt pretty tough, but doable. so i thought maybe i'd do 2 sets of 3 w/ the same weight. but i felt good i guess so i went up to 285, and wore a belt w/ wrist wraps to try to get used to the belt. controlled the eccentric much slower so that the belt doesnt dig into my ribs. and my legs felt much stronger, no caving in of the knees. and the weight came up so well i did 4 reps of 285lbs.

last week i only hit 2x5 i think of 125lb OHP even tho it was fresh. Goal wasjust to hit 3x5 today w/ 125, but i ended up hitting all 5x5! Ogus Press ftw. especially surprised since after heavy squats my pressing was expected to be weaker cuz of the pressure the bar exerts on my arms in low bar position.
