hooo-eee, just inhaled a ton of pollen.
Meb got me really amped (and Shalane actually) which may have actually been to my detriment. Hard to relax
Settled on 2x1.5 miles so i could avoid any about-faces during my tempo (need to preserve my hip), I left open the option of doing 1.5 mi and then either 3x0.5 or 1 mi and a 0.5 mi depending on how I felt.
First 1.5 mi felt pretty good, right around 6:40 pace (through the mile in 6:40, .75 in 5:57 and slowed to a 10:03 by the end). Pretty happy with that. Felt rough by the end. Took 2:30 min break. Started on the mile and immediately seized up. Cut it off to a half. Barely dragged myself through. The next 2 halfs were equally as bad, but I got through them (probably around 7 min pace).
