So after not logging the whole of the past month, I figure the best way to finish is to start. Or something like that. But this was the BW meet, and the only outdoor meet I got to compete in this season. I didn't go into it expecting very much timewise, considering for how long I was injured this season. I did fully intend to run and race it as best as I could given my fitness level. Which more or less happened. First couple laps I stuck to Steere as best as I could, then from that point, looked to not lose contact too much. Coming into the last 400 I was feeling pretty fresh, so I turned it up some. Then I started hearing people cheering for people behind me. So I turned it up some more. This kept going til the last 100m or so was just a flat out sprint. Talking to Coach afterwards, I probably had too much in the tank for the kick, but whatever, I had fun with it. I kept position from where I was near the beginning of the race, so I'm satisfied. Time of course is well behind last year, but I know that I can still do that kind of time. I just need to work for it.
