Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
I set out to run to tufts today but didn't quite make it that far. I ran down mass ave (in Cambridge, not dc) until I got to a park, which I explored a bit then looped back to harvard. I felt really excited to be seeing new things/ exploring today so my pace was quick without me really feeling it. Today was am interesting experiment as I didn't have time to get breakfast before I ran so I ran without eating. While I usually hit a wall at about 2 miles when I don't eat in the morning, this time I felt fine basically the whole time: I guess it means that if I have to, I can run in the morning early without having a full breakfast. The run kinda took it out of me though, I feel exhausted as I'm waking to different classes and may even take a nap later.
The only downside is that I'm already missing my team (you guys!). I've only run alone here a few times but I'm feeling the lack of teammates very strongly and I'm a little worried about what it will be like next year without a formal team. I'm hoping club running will be a good next step (though i fear it won't meet my expectations of what a xc/ track team is. Being here even for a bit (and thinking about next year) is making me appreciate how amazing the gds/track teams are.
