Memorial Day -OLD Cemetery Run

Home up Buchannan hill route to Tazewell Methodist and to Montgomery Street and Main. Pit Stop. Up montgomery to Church and north around the lot that is now Helopad to the road up to the breastworks. After latching the gate ran up the steep pasture road to the barn, then walked to the breastworks. SPECTACULAR VIEW. Easy to see why Arty from there controlled the Tazewell battle in 1862, and allowed an orderly withdrawal to Cumberland Gap. There is a Rev War CPT monument there and soldiers and members of the Cloud (Black Cherokee freemen) family and some Fugate and Buis. One 2013 grave. I am told it was a paupers cemetery for the town. Ran from the Barn down and to the old Methodist Cemetery 1803. Hardly any marked or names identifiable. Ran back across the hospital parking lot to Tazewell St and Old Knoxville Rd to Old Jonesboro Rd to Buchanan and home.
