Comments:
Ran the same distance today and the tightness came on only after 7 laps this time so I think the fact that any discomfort in my knee is coming on later and later each run means my hips are getting stronger from the exercises. It seems my hip is stronger each run because of the band exercises and is therefore able to support my IT band for that much longer. As soon as I felt the tightness, a simple 30 second stretch made it go away for the rest of the run and I felt fine. I also noticed I felt very comfortable on the run today as far as how tired I was. My breathing felt controlled which is nice considering I still ran it at a faster pace than is normal for me. I can't wait until I'm back to regular mileage again
