Wills Hills Long Hills

It was pretty hot and humid. The sun was in my face a lot of the time, but I was ok. I thought this was a really good workout. I felt good the whole workout. I paced myself well the first 3 minutes. That has been the thing that has been killing me in workouts and races. The first 3 minutes, I usually put myself into debt too early. It feels easier to go comfortable first couple of minutes and then reel people in and run where I should be. I slowed a little by the end, but that is going to happen when you are running hills non stop. My mile times were 6:55, 6:59, 7:26, 7:38, and 7:19 pace for last .2 miles. I felt good and I think I did good this workout. The hills were burning by the end and I think I am finally ready for XC season to start. Overall, it was a very good workout. After the workout, we did strides up a hill. It wasn't very long or steep, but it was still a hill. We did 8 sprints up then and on the way down, you have to hold you arms up high. My arms were burning badly by the end. I think that can really help with strength during a sprint. I did a cool down and ran back to the park, but I didn't log it. I jogged slowly, but it still felt good.
