Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Weather was bad again.... 81 degrees with 90 percent humidity. The sun was shining on me badly. I planned on an 8 mile run at 8 minute pace, but it did not go as planned. I was only able to get in 6 miles. I felt bad. The heat just killed me super bad. I didn't run at Bellaire today because I really needed a day that was slow for recovery. This was definitely wasn't a recovery run. This run was harder than it should have been. My effort was so high because of the heat. Aerobically, it was hard with the heat. I did get a good recovery for my muscles because 8:11 pace isn't a killer for my muscles. I tried to stay at 8 minute pace, but I couldn't. I was exerting a lot of energy for such a slow run. My mile times were 8:32, 8:06, 7:59, 8:07, 8:17, and 8:08. This was a bad run. Overall, it was a pretty bad run. The good thing of this run was that I got a 50 minute run in pure bad heat and gave my muscles a break with a slow run. I wore my Kinvara shoes again so my calves don't get a little sore again.
