8 Mile Run On Bayou

My watch said it was 81 degrees and felt like 86 degrees. Personally, I thought it was humid, but not too hot. I actually felt really good. This was one of the better days I have had in a while. I started at 6:50 today so I was running in cool weather at the beginning since the sun came up at 6:45. The sun was never really in my eyes, that's why I never slowed down towards the end of the run. I could feel the presence, but not too bad. I also ran the hill in between South Rice and Chimney Rock. That felt good. My mile times were 8:00, 7:42, 7:30, 7:24, 7:14, 7:31, 7:30, 7:30. Surprisingly, the past 2 days, my first mile has been good and felt good to run. I wasn't pushing too hard the first mile. A lot of times, that first mile is what kills the whole workout. Either going too hard or trying to jog it. I felt amazing during this run. I really like these 8 mile runs that aren't easy or hard. It also feels good to recover from running with varsity a lot. The past 3 days I have just got in good distance. It also gave time to my muscles to not always got a high pace. I have been running based on effort and how I feel. The past 2 runs have been really well. I feel recovered, good mileage, and decent pace. My calf was hurting a little at the beginning of the run, but not so much at the end. I should be ok with my shoes for now.
