Comments:
Ran this about 12 hours after my morning run. I ran around the dirt loop park by my house and stayed on the grass next to the path as much as possible. I went out at my normal pace but felt great for some reason and picked it up which is nice because it's something I haven't done since I've been back. The miles were 6:52, 6:24, 6:14, 6:16. Definitely the best I've felt breathing wise all summer. Now for the bad news: my shin was bothering me a bit more on this run, despite the soft surfaces. It is the same leg as my last shin problem but a totally different spot, along the front of the bone. It isn't severe but It is enough to notice and I learned from the winter not to run through this at all. I have been icing it and hoping it is just shin splints but I am going to cross train the next two days and see how it feels from there on.
