Exercise Type: Run
Weather: partly cloudy, warm, nice breeze
Comments:
First day of practice! Had an okay turnout of 10 guys. First we went up to the classroom and talked for about 40 minutes. Then we went to the track and ran a mile warm-up and went through all our stretches. After that we walked almost the first 2 miles of the course so Ben could get the gist of it and just to stick with routine. After that we were off. Elijah, Dakota and I flew through the beginning and I came in for the 1st mile at 5:39. Elijah had to stop and stretch though because his calf tightened up. I felt pretty good at it was so tiring. At 2 miles I was at 11:46. So that was a 6:07 mile. Going back up the hill was torture and I think it killed me. It took 3:20 from the start of the hill to finish. The last 1.15 took 7:34 so about 6:34 mile pace. After that we cooled down, Nate, Elijah, Justin and I together by running the black trail really slow. Then Elijah and I went to the weight room and biked around 20 mph for 30 minutes and stretched a bit.
