Old Men With Sick Energy

Ran with the Ann Arbor Track Club. Four guys, three middle-aged, one had to be at least 70. And that guy was the fastest. He was a demon. We ran in the trails around Ann Arbor (sharp turns, mean hills, and mud) and he would literally grab ahold of the trees at the bottom of hills, kick his legs up in the air sideways, and throw himself around the corners. He was a maniac. He even pointed out his parents house on the run and strongly implied that they still lived there. I didn't have the guts to ask. But I actually wouldn't be surprised. He guy had to get his energy from somewhere.

The first four-ish miles felt okay, then it became serious work. To be fair I think that was because CrazyOldMan took the front and probably cut 30 seconds off the mile pace. I was dying by the end. I messed up my watch and no one had a GPS, and we were in the woods most of the time so I can't really map it, but I think we averaged about 8 min miles and I got the time from another guy.

I like the trails!!! But my tummy felt pretty rough at the end. I was really scared I might throw up but I didn't. This was much harder than I intended through.
