Backpacking run!

Ok so I'm not sure this counts as a run but...it's been too long since I logged so I'm going to include it! Today was the last day of my 6 day backpacking trip along through the saddleback mountains along the AT in Maine (a total of 40 miles, about 8 to 9 miles a day up some pretty great peaks!). The whole trip was so cool.

The whole group decided to run from camp to the pickup area (today was a short day because it was our last) in order to beat the all-time record for FOP C trips. So, we jogged about 2 miles with our 50lbs packs. I felt intense hopping over creeks and through muddy patches and up hills...but also very tired. And my calfs feel like rocks. I was happy to be moving my legs in a running way again though! And I'm very excited to start truly running again tomorrow (sans backpack and hiking boots).
