Team U won the race!!! I personally did pretty poorly...The first mile I was super positive and was holding my position well and surging when I needed to. I think I was in 7th at the mile, we all went through around 6:45 which is slow but it's also the farm. Mile 2 people were passing me and I felt very sluggish and got really negative. I need to get positions out of my head. Like when someone who is "faster" than me passes me, I think oh yeah well that was expected. Then the third mile I think I had dropped back to 12th, so then I was mad at myself and picked it up. I want to work on speed and my kick, but also I need to work on staying in the race mentally. This is always my problem and it seems like I never learn. My goal for the rest of the season is top 10 at least. Top 8 by regionals. Next week at Sudeck I'm going to stay with Evy, and whoever else passes me, and Ronnie too. I'm capable of it, I put in the training, I just have to remember that during the race.
On a positive note though, last year I ran a 22:56, so this is improvement! (Freshman year was 22:42)
