Mile Repea*... No! Fartlek!

I was going to try and do another round of mile repeats today because, based on my work schedule I wouldn't be able to have another good day for them until the middle of next week. However, the seven miles from yesterday was hanging in the back of my mind and I started the day with 6.5 hours on my feet. Without having lunch, I decided to attempt start the repeats around 3pm.

About a half mile in, I knew this was not going to work. The legs felt like lead. So I cranked it down a bit and opted instead to do an improvised fartlek (random sprints here and there (usually from stop sign to stop sign. I'm sure you know the drill). The results were good, a new PR for this route by over two minutes!
