Comments:
did a track workout today instead of a tempo, since i don't know if i'll be able to get a track thursday. the workout that coachL prescribed was 6-8x mi @ 30sec under goal race pace w/ 1min rest. since that was actually slower than the tempo i did last week, i decided to go a little faster, and did the fewer intervals. here's how it went:
6xmi w/ :30-1:00 rest
5:19, 5:26, 5:25, 5:25 (tempo loop), 5:21, 5:10

ran faster on the last one, just because. after the first one was quite fast, i decided to do fewer intervals and maintain the pace. don't know if that was beneficial, but it felt like a good workout. obviously, since the last interval was significantly faster, i had some left, and maybe could've done two more. for the first speed workout i've done since may, i'll take it.
