Easy Run w/ Benson and McDowell and MUN team

I thought it would be fun for all involved to the dogs out for an easy training run with the MUN team. I thought wrong.

I had missed them when they left from PE but bumped into them on Kent's. Everything was going alright until we passed a lady with a big, beautiful Golden next to Larch Park. Benson locked up all four and started whining and the Lady persisted and said it would be okay to introduce them. I don't usually do that while on a run but since McDowell had been so tame at the Beagle Paws event the previous Sunday, I thought it would alright.

Wrong. The instant he could that Mountain Cur chomped down on the friendly Golden. Benson, being the stooge that he is, decided this was the moment to start humping the other dog. The scuffle was so bad MS and CB ran back to help, thankfully.

Anyway, I apologized to the horrified, inconsolable woman and ran again. My left thumb was cut pretty baldy and I was lucky not to need stitches.

So no more taking the dogs with the MUN team - I won't risk it again. No more sniffing other dogs while running - the risk is not worth it.
