Wow, it has been 2 1/2 weeks until I have gotten to run by myself! In Kenya I could not run unless I had someone come with me. This made it super hard to train, We stayed at an Ostrich farm and so I was able to run around the ostrich riding ring- lol! I also got to run some w/ Sam which was really fun. We held a track camp for some of the children- and wow! those Kenyan kids are SO talented! So I got to run some with them- that was a blast! I learned a lot about running while in Kenya- stuff I will remember as I am now training. Today I ran 8 miles at 1.02.44- I felt kind of tired- I think just from traveling (We flew for 16 hours and drove for about 5 1/2 hours) I also did 9 min. of abs and 3x20 push ups and 5 pull ups. (In Kenya I also did some pool running- and that was a great workout!)
