Exercise Type: Run

Same run as yesterday. I was a little slower today but that's ok because again the focus is just getting out there and doing it. Working on the stride, getting the legs stronger, increasing vo2 max and lifting a little weight and increasing the range of motion. I talk a lot about 'setting a base,' and the rest of October is just about setting a good base for the next four and half months. Increasing the consistency, increasing the weekly mileage and increasing the time and distance of the long runs!
One of the more important aspects of today is that I have yet to smoke a cigarette, fighting that urge to run instead of smoke when I first wake up in the morning. I only smoked 10 yesterday, good and bad because I didn't smoke my first one until 1pm. But despite having the urge to smoke, I have yet to have a cigarette.
