NJACS

November 1, 2014 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 43

Comments:
For the warm up I did not feel very good so I was trying to conserve energy by stopping short. For the muddiest race I ever ran, the first mile felt pretty good even though I was running through rivers practically. For the second mile I thought I was too far from being top 10 on the team so I surged a bit and I just tried to keep that up for the whole race and I think I kinda succeeded in that as I was passing a lot people. By the fourth mile I was pretty dead tired but I still kind of kept the surge. At the end finish line I did not have as much of a kick as I used to but I still ran a 10 second PR which is really good to me considering the conditions. I guess the days where I really pushed myself two weeks ago really helped in this because it was my mental toughness that got me the PR.
