Comments:
The course was really muddy. A lot of soft patches of mud and a few places filled of mud. My time might sound slow, but it was the mud that slowed me down. I was 5 seconds behind Robel. I didn't really have a finishing kick though. I thought I did a good job of not killing myself in the sprint at the beginning. I felt good during the race, but was surprised to see my time was slow. The mud and being at the back of the pack was what kept me slow. It was really bunched up for the first 800 meters. After that, there was like 40 of us at the back and that's it. Not a whole lot of fast guys pushing me. It is what it is. Now it is time for break and then to train for track.
