Trotting pre turkey

November 27, 2014 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: high 30s

Comments:
I ran from grandpa's house in Greenwich . My lower shins hurt a bit at the beginning and didn't loosen up until about 4miles in and calves were generally tight. But, after getting to the state park and running on some soft ground for a while, I felt considerably better. I also felt really motivated on this run for it'd been a while since I got a long run in and I felt decently fresh. Plus, I'd occasionally catch whiffs of delicious turkey, apple pie, or sweet potatoes in the air and that made me all the more excited to race home and feast with the fam.

I enjoyed the scenery on this run quite a lot--most of the time, I ran on quiet, narrow roads that cut through pretty forested areas. And, I caught two leaves, one right after the other! I'm not thrilled that a had to stop a couple times to figure out where I was and how to get home but I suppose that comes with getting to explore a new place. The last 5 miles or so of the run were so nice--just straight down one road, which was either flat or downhill basically the whole time.
