Tempo

Comments:
Zac came to Wanaque and we ran the tempo on my high school track. It was misty but not pouring which turned out to feel nice. I wasn't feeling great on the warmup so I wasn't sure how the tempo would go. A mile in, the muscles around my shin got very tight and locked up. I thought this would ruin the run but it actually got better as the run went on. My breathing stayed comfortable throughout the tempo and it went much better than I expected. Zac and I alternated pacing every 3 laps which made it a lot easier mentally. Aside from a few fast laps we stayed on good pace and finished together. 1600 splits were 5:48, 5:52, 5:47, 5:52, 2:55 (800). Core after
